Crimes that have increased from the previous year need to be prevented and
overcome, especially by the police so that they do not happen again in the
following year. Apart from that, what steps can be taken by the community to
support prevention and control, especially the crime of theft with violence in the
Pandeglang area, so that in the following year it does not happen again or it does
not increase, at least the theft with violence in the Pandeglang area can be
reduced. This study aims at the role of the Police in efforts to tackle the Criminal
Act of Theft with Violence in the Legal Area of the Pandeglang Police and the
provisions of the criminal law against the crime of Theft with Violence. This
research is a type of normative juridical research or also called library research,
which is research conducted by examining library materials or secondary data
and a statutory approach. The role of the Police in efforts to deal with the
Criminal Act of Theft with Violence in the Legal Area of the Pandeglang Police is
carried out in 3 (three) ways, namely pre-emptive efforts, preventive and
repressive efforts. However, in the case of this research, the role of the police in
efforts to tackle the crime of theft with violence in the legal area of the
Pandeglang Police is carried out in a repressive way in the form of arresting the
perpetrators of the crime of theft with violence and unified criminal law
provisions regarding the police in tackling criminal acts of theft with violence,
namely the police. implement the provisions in the law as well as the police as the
spearhead of the criminal justice system in relation to criminal law, especially
criminal law enforcement in criminal acts of theft with violence.
