Analisis Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis ditinjau dari Self Efficacy Siswa (tesis)
Mathematical communication ability is an essential part of mathematic and
mathematic education.This mathematical communication is useful for
students to turn an idea into an object of thought.Apart from mathematical
communication ability, there are also affective aspect that help provide an
understanding of one's success in completing several tasks properly.One
of the psychological or affective aspects is self-efficacy. Self-efficacy has a
positive contribution and a very important role in mathematics learning
achievement that can be achieved by students.Self-efficacy that continues
to be trained makes students think about how they think, motivate
themselves, and behave in solving a problem.The purpose of this study
was to describe the extent to which a person's self-efficacy can determine
students' mathematical communication ability, especially in junior high
school.This research was conducted in the odd semester of the
2020/2021 school year at SMP Negeri 1 Cilegon.The research subjects in
this study were 20 students of class VIII E based on the high, medium and
low self-efficacy categories for conducting tests and interviews. High selfefficacy has a great influence on mathematical communication ability.The
higher the individual's self-efficacy, the higher the mathematical ability of
communication, and conversely, the lower the individual's self-efficacy, the
lower the mathematical communication ability will be
